I was referred by my optician to Newmedica for cataract surgery. The initial consultation happened quickly and comprised a thorough eye examination followed by a discussion of options regarding choice of lens. I had lots of questions, and they were all patiently answered. After a little thought I opted for Vivity lenses. I have significant astigmatism in my left eye and a toric lens was suggested, with a monofocal lens suggested for the other. I was apprehensive before the cataract surgery, however Mr Mansoor and his team ensured that the procedures ran smoothly with no resulting issues. The results have been excellent. I previously wore contact lenses – the implanted lenses perform better, and what a difference they have made, better than 20/20 vision with no nightime glare or halos!

I had a cataract removal and pupilloplasty operation for some trauma that happened years ago carried out by Mr Mansoor. The operation went well and afterwards I had pressure build up in the eye. Mr Mansoor got me straight back in that afternoon and helped to control the pain and bring the pressure down again. All outpatient appointments were carried out by Mr Mansoor who is very polite, professional and very knowledgeable about the procedures carried out. Always putting me at ease and answering all my questions on the matter. He is kind and very passionate about his work. I would recommend him as a surgeon/Consultant any day for this kind of procedure Thank you Mr Mansoor for your time, effect and very very professional work. My eye has never felt better

Mr Qasim Monsoor answered my questions, described my options and was available to complete cataract surgery on both eyes. On recommendation a mono focal lens was inserted into the right eye and a toric lens in the left eye. Both surgeries were completed professionally and efficiently, free of discomfort or complications at Newmedica Surgical Centre, Middlesbrough. In conclusion I can report ‘better than 20/20 vision and astigmatism improved by 90%’. I would have no hesitation to recommend both the location and the surgeon for the procedure.

I felt at complete ease. He told me what I needed He also explained in detail how Toric lens would help me Improve my sight. The procedure was problem free,. I have worn glasses Since I was 5 years old, but no more I don't need Glasses. I have a +2 pair to read small text. He has changed my life for the better. He is an excellent Doctor I highly recommend and appreciate him.
